Bg 1.7

asmākaṁ tu viśiṣṭā ye
tān nibodha dvijottama
nāyakā mama sainyasya
saṁjñārthaṁ tān bravīmi te

Word for word: 

asmākam — our; tu — but; viśiṣṭāḥ — especially powerful; ye — who; tān — them; nibodha — just take note of, be informed; dvija–uttama — O best of the brāhmaṇas; nāyakāḥ — captains; mama — my; sainyasya — of the soldiers; saṁjñā–artham — for information; tān — them; bravīmi — I am speaking; te — to you.

Translation: 

But for your information, O best of the brāhmaṇas, let me tell you about the captains who are especially qualified to lead my military force.

Whenever kings speak people will hear although he was not king effectively, he wanted to show that his warriors are ready to fight but he was thinking that people should not think that I am fearful about my enemy’s army that is why I am talking about enemy’s power so he was thinking people should not think I am afraid, I am not afraid so he started speaking about his power he says 

saṁjñārthaṁ tān bravīmi te -> for your information I will speak nāyakā mama sainyasya -> who are leader / main movers in my army, And asmākaṁ tu viśiṣṭā ye -> Asmakam means mine, and mine are so great that I will only speak about viśiṣṭā. I will only speak about special people in that. tān nibodha dvijottama -> For your information, dvijottama, O best of brahmanas. So he want to show that I respect to you dvijottama but I will also speak about other great warriors. In this way he wanted to both kindle their fighting spirit as well as make sure that their confidence is maintained.
