Next verse Krishna says what the effect of these is:

Bg 13.29

samaṁ paśyan hi sarvatra
samavasthitam īśvaram
na hinasty ātmanātmānaṁ
tato yāti parāṁ gatim

Synonyms:

samam — equally; paśyan — seeing; hi — certainly; sarvatra — everywhere; samavasthitam — equally situated; īśvaram — the Supersoul; na — does not; hinasti — degrade; ātmanā — by the mind; ātmānam — the soul; tataḥ — then; yāti — reaches; parām — the transcendental; gatim — destination.

Translation:

One who sees the Supersoul equally present everywhere, in every living being, does not degrade himself by his mind. Thus he approaches the transcendental destination.

samaṁ paśyan hi sarvatra, in this way one who sees everywhere equally

samavasthitam īśvaram, one who sees that Ishwara is situated equally

na hinasty ātmanātmānaṁ, na hinasty, therefore there is no degradation there is no pushing down, hina going lower down

ātmanātmānaṁ, the mind does not degrade the self and then

tato yāti parāṁ gatim, when one is not degraded this way one attains the Supreme destination.

Generally our material vision causes the problem, makes us hold grudges against others, material vision which causes anarthas and these cause the degradation of the soul. Ātmana + atmānaṁ, so the soul is degraded by the mind.

Here the focus is on vision and its effects on our destination.

samavasthitam īśvaram, the Ishwara is situated in all living beings.

So sometime another person may be acting because of being in Maha Maya but a devotee see it from spiritual vision in Yoga Maha and get benefited e.g. Prikshit Maharaj took the cursing as arrangement of Lord and similarly Vidhura take the bad words of Duryodhana when he left the kingdom before war. So this devotional re-interpretation of event is vital for our spiritual advancement.

Often we let small things becomes very big because we see them negatively but when we see that Ishwara is controller of everything and He may allow certain things to happen in a certain way but there will always be opportunity to go deeper in our relationship with Krishna in all situations. And with this we will always be KC, this is an opportunity for me to serve. And if I serve in this way Param Gati I will attain Supreme Destination.

SP Purport: he does not degrade himself by a destructive mentality, and he therefore gradually advances to the spiritual world.
