Now Krishna will clarify this point further how one can stay free from bondage

 

Bg 5.4

sāṅkhya-yogau pṛthag bālāḥ
pravadanti na paṇḍitāḥ
ekam apy āsthitaḥ samyag
ubhayor vindate phalam

Word for word: 

sāṅkhya — analytical study of the material world; yogau — work in devotional service; pṛthak — different; bālāḥ — the less intelligent; pravadanti — say; na — never; paṇḍitāḥ — the learned; ekam — in one; api — even; āsthitaḥ — being situated; samyak — complete; ubhayoḥ — of both; vindate — enjoys; phalam — the result.

Translation: 

Only the ignorant speak of devotional service [karma-yoga] as being different from the analytical study of the material world [Sāṅkhya]. Those who are actually learned say that he who applies himself well to one of these paths achieves the results of both.

 

sāṅkhya-yogau =>Shri Krishna is saying sāṅkhya the process of jayana the process involving inaction and yoga involves the process of action so going to BG 5.2 Sankhya refers to Karma Sanyas and yoga refers to karma yoga 

pṛthag – these two are separate, those people who consider these two ae separate are bālāḥ, childish, ignorant or less intelligent as contrary to balah is panditah, pravadanti na paṇḍitāḥ, so the wise people do not say that these two are different. How they are same? Because ekam apy āsthitaḥ samyag -> when one is situated in one of them then ubhayor vindate phalam -> One gets fruits of both of them.

 

Shri Krishna is saying both are similar not different because ultimate goal of both are the same.
